I am desperately trying to find 1/2 meter or more/less of this batik!!
I don't know the manufacturer, the line etc. Have been searching hundreds of different ways online to no avail. Does anyone know who made this fabric, or perhaps you have it in your stash and would be willing to sell/trade for it?
Any help would be appreciated!

Forest is coming together
My forest of birch trees is coming together! I painted a few of the trunks, added borders and am now ready to start quilting. The photo was taken at a wonky angle. Will take some better ones once the quilting is done.

BIrch Trees
Working on a small quilt for a challenge at our quilt show. All the quilts will be auctioned off for charity. Toying with 2 different backgrounds:
Trees on top of border? |
Abstract pieced background? |
Can't decide which way to go. I guess I better hurry as our show is next month! A big thank you to Jacquie Geuring from Tallgrass Prairie Studio. I asked her for permission to use her quilt "Night Forest" as my inspiration and she responded within minutes with the OK!!

Two Tops Done!
I don't know who the first quilt will go to. I just wanted to make a fresh, simple spring quilt. I may end up adding a border with a bit of applique in 2 of the corners. The second quilt was just because I love the simplicity of the pattern. It worked so well the first time with the grey/yellow fabrics that I wanted to make it again.
How is it possible to make a mistake (or two) on such a simple quilt? First, you have a glass of wine before cutting your longest sashing strips. Even though you measure a million times, you cut all 5 strips 1" too short. Then you put it all together and realize you turned one block the wrong way. I may just leave the block the wrong way.I'm linking up with WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced and WIP Wednesday at the Needle and Thread Network. Check out what everyone else is working on!

Carpenter's Star
I only needed to sew three or four seams to finish this topper, yet it sat in the UFO pile for a couple of years!
It will now sit on my waiting to be quilted pile for how long???
