I love the Carpenter's Star pattern. Last year I made one for my Secret Santa partner. This one is for me. I was so happy to get it done that I forgot to layer it with the backing and batting before trimming my edges. Oh well, it still will work but would have been easier the other way. It felt good to get some sewing in. My shoulder still annoys me but I have decided not to listen to it (unless it really starts yelling at me!). There are many projects to finish and I can't wait to get going on them.

There is going to be a Canadian Blogathon happening in November. The badge is on my sidebar so you might want to check out the link and join in on the fun.

Lovely carpenter's star quilt Corina. Sorry about your sore shoulder.

Very pretty. I'm glad your shoulder is letting you quit again and keeps the yelling to a minimum. Do you think expat Canadians can join in the blogathon?

I like the effect of the light and dark from the similar fabrics. Very nice!

I love your colour choices for the Carpenter's star. It's very elegant. Keep healing - it's a good thing.

I've done that too - trim a block down before it's quilted - oops! I do it all the time when I do zipper pouches, lol.

Great block - your points are so ... well ... pointy!! Mine ... not so much, LOL! :)

What a beautiful Carpenter's Star. I've always loved this design, but your fabrics/colors are beautiful.
