Giant Jigsaw Puzzle!

I'm working on the gradation of colors. With over 230 fabrics cut up I thought it would go up on the design wall fairly quickly. Not! Transitioning from the aqua to the yellow/oranges is proving to be quite a challenge. Even though it is taking much longer than I expected, I love doing it. It's like doing a giant jigsaw puzzle without the picture on the box for reference!
I think it will all come together quite nicely when the black pinwheels are added. I have to start sewing it today. Did I mention it is entered in our quilt show and has to be finished by next Wednesday!!?!!

I will be linking up with WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced and WIP Wednesday at the Needle and Thread Network. Check out what everyone else is working on!

Happy Stitching

Oh boy! Nothing like a deadline to focus the mind! 230 fabrics seem rather daunting, but you seem to be pulling it off. I'll be content to sit in the cheering section :)

Wow! Good luck getting it finished in time! Dare I ask - are there 230 DIFFERENT fabrics? I'm wanting to try something like this but kind of don't know where to start...

Zowie!!nfabulous piece and I wish you VERY good luck getting finished. Some clearer yellow would maybe help in the transition area?

Beautiful so far. Don't let the wind blow any pieces off. I had that happen once with a watercolor quilt design. Never again did I work on one with the window open.

WOW this is gorgeous, love!!! It's probably tricky because aqua and orange are compliments (across the color wheel from each other). I can't wait to see how it gets finished!!

Godspeed to you! It will be incredible, but will you have time to eat and sleep?
